Problem Based Learning Laboratory

Introduction

Problem Based Learning Laboratory known as PBL Lab is an electronic laboratory located in the School of Biomedical engineering and health sciences. This laboratory is one of the teaching laboratories used by our students to learn the basics and advanced electronics covered in the syllabus of Biomedical Engineering programme. The laboratory emphasizes the practical and hands-on component that complements the theoretical material presented in lecture, and as such, is integral and indispensable to the mastery of the electronics subjects.

PBL laboratory also provided some electronic devices and components to help students with their practical study, design courses and final year project. Other than teaching, this lab is also supporting research and development on electronics as well as community grants and projects especially those dealing with 3D printing.

Facilities and Equipment at PBL Lab

  1. To provide access to electronics laboratory facilities with 80% of the equipment or machinery to function throughout the year.
  2. To provide efficient and a high-quality basic and advanced electronics education, research and services to our clients
  3. To ensure that users of the lab have a comfortable place and space during the learning session
  4. To ensure a friendly treatment in laboratory services
