HISTORY
Before the merging, The Faculty of Health Science and Biomedical Engineering (FKBSK) started the first postgraduate program in 2008, Master of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering(MWB). A year later, the Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Engineering (PWB) was offered in 2009. Then, in 2011, the Doctor of Philosophy in Health Sciences program (PWR) was introduced and offered in FKBSK.
In the 2013/2014 academic session, a new program code for the same course syllabus and content utilised for the FBME postgraduate programs (PMBE formerly PWB, and the PMBH formerly PWR) for the exact program modules, syllabus, requirements and scope.
In 2018, The UTM Synergy 4.0 has merged faculties from 18 to seven. The Faculty of Engineering is a result of the merger of Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE), Civil Engineering (FKA), Mechanical Engineering (FKM), Chemical and Energy Engineering (FKT), Computing (FC) and Bioscience and Medical Engineering (FBME).” Since then, the name of FBME changed to School of Biomedical Engineering and Health Science (SKBSK) and became under the Faculty of Engineering, maintaining the same code and content for the postgraduate programs.
Currently, the school is offering 7 academic programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels include:
Doctor of Philosophy (Health Science)
