On 1st February 2021, four second-year students from the Faculty of Engineering (FE)
namely Crystal Tiong Hui Man (School of Biomedical Engineering and Health Sciences), Ho Yi

iCUBE International CIPTA 2021 Competition. CIPTA 2021 Winners are evaluated based on
their final pitch to a panel of judges, showcasing their ideas, innovation and growth potential
after two months of intensive learning.
Team UTM (Chemmedpreneur) saw how tiresome it was for university students who had to
hand wash their clothes in dorms and queue for the washing machine. Thus, the team
empathised with their situation and developed a product called Portasonic (a portable
electronic clothes cleaning device that enables university students to wash their clothes
more efficiently, hygienically and save water using ultrasonic technology) was proudly
announced as the champion of the competition among 30 teams that have participated and
took home almost RM1,500.
