Research Grant Coaching Workshop

Prof Dr. Sharifah Kamilah has delivered a talk on SHYFTE4.0 in “Research Grant Coaching Workshop”, organized by RFTI Research and Innovation Office, UTM. The workshop was held on 8 September 2021, 9.30 am- 4.45 pm, virtually via Webex. The aim of the workshop is to share her insight and tips on applying international grant, and to share her experience and knowledge gained from Erasmus+ Shyfte4.0 project.

SHYFTE Training of Trainers: Artificial Intelligence Pilot

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has successfully conducted the SHYFTE Training of Trainers sessions which took place from 25 July 2021, until 27 July 2021, at 1430 – 1700 (Malaysia Standard Time). All the sessions were held virtually via Webex application. The sessions involved Artificial Intelligence Pilot, which is one of the Skills 4.0 Learning Framework in SHYFTE.

The training session began with ‘Introduction to Artificial Intelligence’ module, which was conducted on 25 July 2021, by Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Hazlina Selamat from the Centre of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIRO), UTM.

The second session was held on 26 July 2021, involved ‘Artificial Intelligence for Computer Vision’ module. The trainer for this session is Dr Usman Ullah Sheikh, from the School of Electrical Engineering, UTM.

The final session on 27 July 2021, was conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeong Che Fai. The title of the module is ‘Artificial Intelligence for Industry’. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeong Che Fai is from the the Centre of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIRO), UTM.

SHYFTE Training of the Trainers Sessions

The first Training of the Trainers (ToT) sessions are organised in the different partner countries between June and August 2021.

Due to the COVID-19 health crisis, these training sessions will take place in a hybrid format (face-to-face for the local trainees and distance learning for the others)

The objective of the project is to train at least 60 trainers and 300 students from the three partners countries (China, Malaysia and Thailand).

First Phase of ToT session

The first phase of training of trainers (ToT) session is scheduled to begin in 25th July 2021. The training session will be conducted virtually and involves members from partner countries.

Accepted Publication in ICCIML 2021

A new publication related to SHYFTE project and Artificial Intelligence Pilot was recently accepted in International Conference on Computational Intelligence in Machine Learning (ICCIML 2021)The conference will take place virtually during 1st-2nd June 2021. The title of the paper is ” Industry Revolution 4.0 Knowledge Assessment in Malaysia”, authored by Sharifah Kamilah Syed Yusof, Usman Sheikh, Norjulia Mohamad Nordin, Naziha Ahmad Azli, Aida Ali and Nurul Mu’azzah Abdul Latiff.
