Welcome to

Basic Communication Laboratory

The Basic Communication Laboratory is under the Department of Communication Engineering (COMM) and is currently managed by Dr. Nurul Ashikin Binti Daud as the Academic Coordinator and Mrs. Norhidayu Bt Basir and Miss Norazah Bt Adzhar as Assistant Engineer.

The laboratory provides practical hands-on experiments on basic communication systems to third year undergraduate students and postgraduate students. The concept of basic modulation, demodulation and recent communication techniques are demonstrated using available hardware and software defined radio (SDR) tool. This web page provides the information on lab schedules and labsheets as reference for students in preparing their experiments.

Notes:

PRE-LAB PROCEDURE
• Each group must complete the Pre-Lab experiment and discussion before attending the laboratory session.
• Students must save all flow graph files on a portable storage device (e.g., pendrive, external hard disk, or other suitable media) or cloud storage (gdrive) to ensure they can be readily accessed and executed during the lab session.
