Telecommunication Exhibition Day 2014 (TED 2014) was held on 20th May 2014 at P19a, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia Johor Bahru. The event has been held since 2008 and following the success of the event, it has then become a yearly activity that provides a platform and opportunity for the final year students in Telecommunication Engineering to present their research projects. Their field of study covers almost all aspects of telecommunication engineering such as antenna RF and microwave; optical and photonics; wireless communication and acoustic’ communication systems; next generation network and multimedia applications; and sensor. This year, more than 50 undergraduates students have participated in the exhibition. The presented projects were evaluated by panels from the faculty as well as panels from industries such as Telekom Malaysia Berhad, Measat, U-mobile, Tenaga Nasional Berhad. In addition, there were also industrial talk sessions by Dreamwave Sdn. Bhd. Exhibitors from two companies from Dreamwave and Agilent Technologies also took part during the exhibition by presenting their latest technology and this further strengthen the university-industry collaboration. At the end of the event, winners for the best projects were selected based on thorough evaluations by the panels. The winners for this year TED 2014 are listed as below.
