Engineering Showcase 2026 | EES 2026 ⚡
The Faculty of Electrical Engineering (FKE), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), proudly hosted the Electrical Engineering Showcase 2026 (EES 2026) on 24 June 2026 at FKE, UTM Johor Bahru.
EES 2026 served as the culminating platform for third-year undergraduate students to present their Integrated Design Project (IDP), a hands-on capstone experience where student teams develop engineering solutions addressing real-world challenges across community and industry contexts, under the guidance of academic supervisors and evaluated by industry professionals.
EES 2026 brought together 139 student groups from 5 departments, each taking on real-world engineering challenges across 22 themes spanning energy, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, education, and more. Their work was assessed by 84 panels of academic staff and industry practitioners, ensuring the projects remain grounded in current industrial needs. In recognition of their hard work and innovation, outstanding teams were celebrated through the Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards across all departments.
Beyond the student showcase, EES 2026 also featured a dedicated exhibition by FKE’s Research Groups (RGs), Centres of Excellence (COEs), and Higher Institution Centre of Excellence (HICoE), presenting their latest research outcomes, professional services, and areas of expertise. The exhibition served as a platform to strengthen academia-industry collaboration, promote knowledge sharing, and highlight the breadth of FKE’s research and innovation capabilities.
