Power Engineering Research Group (PERG)


The Power Engineering Research Group also known as PERG is a research group formed under the Schools of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The group comprises 8 active members that have research strengths in power system field such as power system protection and regulation, distributions systems, distributed generation, power generation dispatch, power systems operation and control, smart grids, renewable energy planning, optimization and transmission usage allocation. In recent years, the group has expanded its expertise in consultancy work for industries and government agencies.

This group is actively involved in providing power engineering courses at the under-graduate, graduate and doctoral level, and knowledge transferring project. The PERG group is always looking forward to collaborate as much as possible with industry and universities/college universities around the world through platforms ranging from short-term to long-term consultancy, joint research, and development, planning and training as well as post-graduate students supervisions.
