Welcome to

Electric Vehicle Laboratory

The laboratory was launched in July 2011 as part of the research collaboration activities between UTM and PROTON. The main objectives on the establishment of the laboratory are:

• • To become the center of human capital development program for UTM and PROTON
  • To be part of PROTON`s advanced research lab
  • To generate IPR (jointly develop between UTM and PROTON) in EV/HEV field.
  • To become the pre-recruitment of technical staff (in the field of EV/HEV) for PROTON
  • To improve the Branding and Marketing

The activities of the laboratory are focused on the three main areas:

• • The development of knowledge on control and software engineering
  • The acquisition of technology on traction, energy savings and energy storage
  • The development of electric vehicle and hybrid electric vehicle
