Assoc. Prof. Dr. Naziha Ahmad Azli
Title: Planning for Career Advancement in Teaching Track
Dr. Naziha Ahmad Azli is an Associate Professor at the School of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). As an academic staff who has been trained in cooperative learning and problem-based learning, Dr. Naziha has initiated the Problem-based Laboratory (PBLab) at the school in 2007 when holding the post as the 4th Year Laboratory Coordinator. She has held the posts of a Laboratory Manager and an Undergraduate Academic Manager at the school since 2010 and as the Deputy Dean (Academic and Development) at the then Office of Undergraduate Studies (UGS) in 2015. Now she is the Director of UTM’s Curriculum Innovation and Development Unit (CIDU), under the Office of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic and International. She is a strong advocator for Future Ready Educator (FREE) at UTM, that aims to drive academic staff to become competent practitioners of student-centred learning strategies. Her working experience for the past 33 years at UTM has allowed her to actively provide training on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) to participants of higher education institutions both locally and internationally since 2010.
