This paper presents a comprehensive connected ecosystem where next-generation networking, edge and cloud computing, and AI converge. We examine how secure networks enable system interoperability, real-time telemedicine, and immediate critical alerts, while utilizing AI to monitor traffic for privacy breaches. Crucially, we propose Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) wrapped around this framework as a complete, self-sustaining system. By integrating WPT, we eliminate battery dependency in deployed IoMT sensors, ensuring uninterrupted data collection and continuous AI processing at the network’s edge. Coupled with 5G’s high bandwidth and low latency, this WPT-enhanced network architecture guarantees reliable, time-sensitive operations like remote surgery and real-time monitoring, ultimately establishing the definitive foundation for operationalizing AI and optimizing global healthcare delivery.

BIOGRAPHY: Prof. Matilda Isaac is a Senior Associate Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) in mainland China, where she served as Dean of the School of Internet of Things for the 2024–2026 term—an appointment that recently earned her a “Visionary Leader” award.
