KUALA LUMPUR, 29 March 2026  AIROST is proud to announce that their team of three students from the Faculty of Computing has clinched the 2nd Runner-Up position at KitaHack 2026, held on 29 March 2026 at Sunway University (JC 3). The achievement marks a significant milestone for the club and reflects the growing excellence of its members in applied artificial intelligence.

The team comprised Ling Lee Hom (Graphic and Multimedia Software), David Chan Keng Hoe (Software Engineering), and Chew Jian Hui (Network and Security), competed with their project TrustLens, an AI-powered document analysis system engineered to detect fraud and anomalies with high precision.

TrustLens is capable of analysing 11 distinct types of documents, including bank statements and contracts, and performs up to 46 automated risk checks to ensure thorough and reliable results. At its core, the system features an AI Assistant powered by Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), enabling it to interpret analysis outcomes and respond to user queries with contextual accuracy.

For cases that demand deeper validation, TrustLens incorporates an Expert Review feature, through which forensic specialists may provide professional assessments upon request. The platform also includes an Alert Zone page, which surfaces documents flagged as highly suspicious by multiple users, a community-driven mechanism aimed at raising awareness and proactively curbing potential fraud.

AIROST extends its warmest congratulations to Ling Lee Hom, David Chan Keng Hoe, and Chew Jian Hui for their outstanding performance at KitaHack 2026. The club looks forward to continued excellence from its members in future competitions and endeavours.
