It’s a wrap! A huge THANK YOU to Mr Oscar Ling for sharing his Serial Competition Winner’s Journey. Our Airost Alumni, Mr Oscar Ling is now an associate under the Shopee Global Leaders Program. Prior to that, he has diverse internship experiences across different industries ranging from consulting, engineering, and the public sector.
He strongly believed that the journey at his university can not be entirely academic only. While it is true that gaining deeper knowledge is important, it is also the time for him to explore and polish his soft skills along with Airost. This is the reason why he enjoys participating in various competitions and hackathons. Some of his notable achievements include ASEAN Data Science Explorers (Regional 2nd-Runner Up & National Champion), University Open Virtual Hackathon 2020 (National Champion), HSBC Business Case Competition 2021 (National 2nd Runner-Up), Higher Education Minister Award (Top 5 Individual), Axiata Top 20 Leadership Award. He has also represented Malaysia in other events ranging from impact-driven competitions to cultural exchanges, and volunteer missions.
Outside of work, he enjoys jogging, reading, and utilizing his free time mentoring university students for startups, business case competitions, and hackathons.
